Her still lifes, landscapes, and genre scenes are rendered in a soft, warm colour palette and filled with attention to the smallest details of domestic life — a bouquet of wildflowers on a windowsill, an old vase, a view from a window onto a garden.
Janov possessed a rare gift for transforming the ordinary into the poetic: a simple home interior on her canvas became a space suffused with light and meaning.
