Imants Vecozols is a Latvian painter, one of the masters of the realist school in Latvian painting, working exclusively in landscape and still life genres. Born in Kārsava, he graduated from the Latvian Academy of Arts.

Vecozols is an artist faithful to the traditions of Latvian realist painting. His still lifes embody the best of this tradition: simple motifs, painted with love and skill, gain importance and weight. Vecozols is not one to chase trends — he remains true to his vision and his craft.

Vecozols continues to work despite his age. He is one of the oldest active artists in Latvia and still prefers to remain outside the exhibition circuit.
